Volant 5000

The Volant 5000 is a piste ski from Atomic’s premium Volant range, 70 to 72 mm underfoot, for skiers who want easy handling and a timeless steel look. It’s hand-crafted in Altenmarkt, Austria, and a laser-engraved stainless-steel top sheet pairs with a full sidewall sandwich, a combination Atomic says brings durability and looks together.

A double layer of steel inside gives edge grip, torsional stiffness and smooth power transfer without adding weight, and Atomic says that makes turn entry more confident. An ash and poplar core adds stability and absorbs vibration at speed. The radius is 12.5 m at 147 cm and 16.5 m at 175 cm, and Atomic lists the weight at 2,815 g per ski at 168 cm. It comes with Atomic’s MI 12 GW binding.
