Volant 9000

The Volant 9000 is a piste ski from Atomic’s premium Volant range, 70 to 72 mm underfoot, for skiers who want powerful carving on groomed snow. Atomic says stainless steel has always been Volant’s signature, and that it’s more than a look: one steel layer runs edge to edge for torsional stiffness in powerful turns, and a second improves power transfer, stiffness and edge grip.

Crossed fiberglass layers add power transfer and grip, and the ash and poplar core keeps it stable at high speed. Atomic hand-shapes it in Austria and finishes it with a black metal vapor coating and laser engraving. The radius is 12.5 m at 147 cm and 16.5 m at 175 cm, and Atomic lists the weight at 3,358 g per ski at 168 cm. It comes with Atomic’s I 12 GW binding.
