Shovel Pro Rescue

The Shovel Pro Rescue is Ortovox’s large avalanche shovel for professional use, with the biggest blade in its range at 720 cm² and a long, effective working length. The anodized aluminum blade is flat and sharp, so it’s also good for snow profiles, rutschblock tests and building igloos.

It’s built to move snow fast. The ergonomic D-grip gives power, the oval telescopic shaft has a non-slip rubberized surface, and a 90-degree clearing mode saves time and energy in an emergency. Four recesses in the blade let it become part of a rescue sled. It’s certified to the UIAA 156 avalanche shovel standard and weighs 740 g.
