From Mammut

The Barryvox S2 is Mammut’s compact avalanche transceiver for skiers in avalanche terrain, a three-antenna digital device with a 70 m search range. It guides the search for buried people even in complex rescues, and checks its own sending and searching each time it’s switched on.

Its guidance is what makes the search fast. Visual and acoustic cues lead through the fine search, a probe display shows when to start probing, and the Memory-in-Pixel screen stays clear in bright sun. With several burials, it goes to the strongest signal first, marks each one, and lists up to 16. If a rescuer stops moving for four minutes, it switches back to SEND in case of a second slide. A Bluetooth channel shares vital data to help rescuers decide whom to dig out first. It weighs 180 g with batteries, and lithium batteries last up to 550 hours in SEND.
