Ripstick 88 Black Edition

The Ripstick 88 Black Edition is an all-mountain ski from Elan, 88 mm underfoot at 175 cm, for skiers who spend most days on hard snow in resort conditions. Elan calls it the newest and most requested model in the Black Edition family: the same carbon DNA as its siblings, with extra carbon for a light, smooth, grippy feel when carving on piste, and enough width for when snow piles up.

Inside, a laminated wood core carries two ultralight carbon tubes for torsional stiffness and rebound, and a layer of flax in the tip absorbs vibration so it’s smooth at speed and in variable snow. Elan’s Amphibio design makes each ski a dedicated left or right. At 175 cm the radius is 15.8 m and the ski weighs about 1,510 g.
