From Dale of Norway

The Cortina 1956 Sweater is a unisex wool sweater from Dale of Norway, the brand’s first official Olympic sweater, made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo and designed by Bitten Eriksen. Norwegian ski athletes wore it in competition there, and it put Dale of Norway on the world stage.

The wool and the pattern are what make it the original. It’s designed and knit in Norway from 100% Norwegian wool, Dale’s Plover yarn, a blend from Norwegian sheep that has been in its collection since 1939, crisp and durable at 33.5 micron. The pattern comes from traditional Norwegian knitting, and the sweater follows men’s sizing. Shown in Loden Mel Cream.
