Heavy Wool Sweater

The Heavy Wool Sweater is a men’s ribbed crewneck from Asket, drawn from the classic fisherman sweater. The yarn is a 50/50 blend of RWS-certified virgin wool and GRS-certified recycled wool, extra fine at 19.5 microns and spun three-ply by Millefili in Italy. Asket added the virgin wool to the recycled base for depth and softness.

Knitters in Portugal work it on whole-garment machines, so it has no seams, and the ribbed cuffs and hem are knitted straight on, in one with the body. The 7-gauge reverse half-cardigan stitch and the chunky yarn make a resilient knit that Asket says keeps its form for years. The fit is loose, with raglan sleeves, and every size comes in up to three lengths. Shown in Dark Navy.
