Army Leather Heli Ski

The Army Leather Heli Ski is a five-finger ski glove from Hestra, first made for ski guides in western Canada who needed a reliable, warm glove for long days in snow and cold. Durable goat leather gives grip and feel, and the back of the hand is a waterproof three-layer polyamide fabric.

Its functions are made for days far from the lodge. The liner swaps out when it gets damp or as the effort and the temperature change, and a long cuff with a snow lock and a Velcro strap keeps the warmth in. A wrist strap stops the glove from dropping when it comes off, and a carabiner and a loop on the little finger hang it opening-down from pants or a harness, so it doesn’t fill with snow. Hestra rates it 6 of 8 for warmth and mobility and 7 of 8 for durability. Shown in Black.
